SIMPLE DEVOTION & UNTAMED DELIGHTS
There are certain things that intensely touch God's heart, giving Him a unique kind of raw delight. His heart is deeply touched when we the objects of His passion set aside all other suitors for our attention & affections in order to engage in the most intimate thing that can occur between us & God - Worship. Proskuneo; the N.T. Greek word for worship means ‘to kiss’. It involves drawing near to God in humility & awe, to ascribe value, to come close in order to gaze at, admire & adore. It implies wholehearted spiritual surrender. Like taking our hands out of God's pocket and putting them around his neck. This kind of worship is not about getting something from God as much as it's about giving something to God – Raw pleasure.
PARTICIPATE
Just like what's taking place in hundreds of cities around the globe, we believe God is also calling for a 'collective' offering of worship to begin going up before Him on behalf of Charlotte. One that represents the sacred community living in our area as a whole. As a result, 24-7 is rallying for all followers of Christ in & around Charlotte to participate in 24-7Worship, so that united heaven piercing worship is going up to God from our town 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Radical? Yep! Pooling our resources for this ultimate "Chip In" is an ambitious undertaking. One that requires both God’s instigation & your participation. Yes, you.
24-7 WORSHIP
24-7WORSHIP is for individuals or groups who will commit to spend anywhere from 30-120 minutes within a 24 hour timeslot, make the pilgrimage to the 24-7 Prayer Site, devote themselves to uncensored God-worship, & then pass the baton onto the next participant(s). 24-7 Worship is no place for prayer requests. This time is expressly for expressing gratitude for the grace & hard core freedom that came swinging down to meet us in Christ, taking delight in who He is, offering wholehearted surrender, & engaging in abandoned worship before God. . ATTENTION ON DECK
We are also specifically asking worship bands, choirs, H&B teams, church instrumentalists & singers, to tithe a time of worship, during which there will be no ministry toward people - only ministry to the Lord. These tithed times can be intensely impacting on teams as they prepare & then gather at the 24-7 Prayer Site, face the wall, & begin to sing & play for an audience of One.
